How Will COVID-19 Affect My Case?

Since March of 2020, our daily lives (and our world) have been turned upside down. As we have struggled to adapt to this new reality, certain aspects of life remain unchanged. The kids still have schoolwork, things at home and in our cars still break and need to be repaired, we still need to pay our bills and put food on the table, and situations that require legal counsel may still arise.

Legal issues don’t come to a screeching halt due to a pandemic; in fact, in some cases, they become more urgent. Whatever your current legal needs, your case is important, and the legal team at Kreizer Law is still working and prepared to help you get the justice you deserve.

New Jersey Courts

Most legal processes remain in force, with the vast majority having been transitioned to a virtual/remote model. According to the New Jersey Courts system, as of April 10, 2020:

“Until further notice, there are no in-person Superior Court and Tax Court proceedings (except for extremely limited emergent matters and certain ongoing trials). As many matters as possible (including case management conferences, motions, and hearings) will be handled by telephone or video conference. Court offices also are closed for in-person submissions. Filings may be submitted electronically or by mail or dropped off at a designated drop-box. Court-ordered payments may be sent by mail or made electronically.”

Our Firm is Open

Although in-person meetings, including depositions, are being handled virtually, Kreizer Law remains fully operational. As long as it is possible and permissible, all scheduled meetings have been and will continue to be conducted via video conference or phone call, and all communications will be handled by email, phone, text, and regular mail. Through these channels, Kreizer Law continues to effectively, safely, and efficiently hold meetings, investigate claims, gather substantiating evidence, obtain statements from witnesses and experts, and advocate on your behalf. Any paperwork or documentation can be sent via regular mail, email, or fax.

This pandemic has presented challenges for businesses and individuals around the globe, but Kreizer Law was prepared. Adaptability is a cornerstone of our business model. With today’s technology and our firm’s ongoing emphasis on the importance of clear and open communication, our ability to provide exceptional legal service is unchanged.
